Today we want to put your mind at ease by BUSTING these 5 common myths. Let's run down the list.

1. You Have To Have Perfect Credit To Buy A Home

We work with a lot of clients that don't have exactly perfect credit. If the credit score isn't at a minimum qualifying score, then we can offer you a tons tips, tricks, and advice to help your credit out. 2. You Need 20% Down To Buy A Home

This is a very common one that we see perpetuated in the marketplace and the media. There are many low down payment options that we offer from zero down to as little as 3% down. Many of these options could be available for you.

3. Your First Step Is Finding A Home

While that may be the fun part or buying a home, the first thing you should do is talk with a lender (like us) and get your pre-approval letter. This will help you more than you know when you're looking for your new home. The last thing you want to do is get your heart set on something that you can't necessarily afford. Come to us, get your pre-approval first, then you can go shop for that perfect house.

4. Your Friends and Family Know What's Best For You

Now, while that may be true in life, it's not necessarily the case when it comes to buying a home. Not that they can't give you advice, right? We are the professionals when it comes to mortgages, and your realtor's gonna be the one helping you find the right home. Not to say you shouldn't listen to them, but just understand that we do this every single day, and we're trying to help you.

5. The Home Buying Process Is Complicated

Buying a home can be complicated if you try to do it on your own. Reading all the articles on the internet (including this one) or watching HGTV can't prepare you for something that you've never done.
